▼ Report: The Kochs, A Nazi Past, Oil & The Foundation of The Right

Notorious Nazis Ilse Koch, her husband Karl Otto Koch and Erich Koch are the ghosts of Koch Industries,  who seized the U.S. conservative political agenda years ago and seem capable of seizing the government in total through the Tea Party.  Ilse Koch was the Nazi’s specialist in making objects from human skin;  was the only woman charged with war crimes; and along with her husband was in charge of one of the most horrific horror camps in Nazi Germany.

Koch Industries is the child of the violence of Buchenwald,  widely regarded as one of wartime Germany’s most notorious “death camps”.

Information connecting Ilse and Koch Industries is hard to find but is a string of fragments,  pieces of information that connects the American and German Kochs and this connection gives us a clear image of the sentiment behind the Tea Party and conservative American politics since the 1950s.  Where is the connection between the German Koch’s and Fred Koch?  Besides evidence the American Koch was related to Ilse’s family,  Erich Koch  (a high level Nazi official in charge of Prussia)  invites Fred Koch to sell his oil in Nazi Germany when he is banned from doing business in the US.  After the fall of Nazi Germany,  Erich Koch and Fred expand the oil empire to the Soviet Union.  Erich Koch had been in charge of Prussia for Hitler so his ties to the Soviet Union ran deep.  A few years later the Soviets took Fred Koch’s oil and prosecuted Erich for war crimes – Fred Koch returned to the US,  became anti-communist,  and was allowed to do business in the States again.

American Fred Koch,  and through association the Kochs from Germany,  establish the John Birch Society in the 1950s in NY,  which becomes the policy center for American conservatives.  The society was built on Fred Koch’s oil money in the 1950s and can be thought of as the center of neo-conservative politics as well as the Tea Party movement.  The ideologies of each are not the same – but the Tea Party fits into the neo-conservative put for colonial corporate police state as a sort of consumer citizen of the neo-conservative strategy mad as hell at the government and the legacy of liberalism, postmodernism, multiculturalism, taxes….etc.

Ilse and her husband Karl were tried by the SS before the war ended,  accused of corruption.  Her husband Karl Otto Koch was tried and sentenced to death in Nazi Germany.  After the war,  Ilse was arrested in the German American Zone, tried in front of a tribunal and sentenced,  but was quickly pardoned by the American general appointed leader of the zone.

Notes on the Koch’s, Their Nazi Past, American Industry

The Foundation of Republican Ideology

Erich Koch

Koch reported to Hitler that unemployment had been banished entirely from East Prussia,  a feat that gained admiration throughout the Reich.

On September 1,  Koch became Reichskommissar of Reichskommissariat Ukraine with control of the Gestapo and the police.  His domain was extended from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea;  he captured ethnic German,  Polish,  Belarus and Ukrainian’s declaring that “Ukraine children need no schools.  What they’ll have to learn will be taught them by their German masters” and “If I meet a Ukrainian worthy of being seated at my table, I must have him shot..”.

Koch worked together with the General Plenipotentiary for Labour Deployment,  providing the Reich with forced labor.  Due to his brutal actions,  Nazi rule in Ukraine was disturbed by a growing number.  Before once more getting away himself,  by escaping through this Baltic Sea port on April 23, 1945,  on the icebreaker Ostpreußen.  He faced charges of war crimes for the extermination of 400,000 Poles,  but was never indicted for his crimes in Ukraine.  He was sentenced to death on March 9, 1959 by the district court in Warsaw for having planned,  prepared and organised the mass murder of civilians.  Russians thought he possessed information about art looted by the Nazis during the war.

Years after the war,  Koch stood trial in Poland and was convicted in 1959 of war crimes and sentenced to death.  The sentence was commuted to life imprisonment a year later.

Brother of Erich Koch, Karl Otto Koch

….(August 2, 1897 – April 5, 1945),  a Standartenführer (Colonel) in the German Schutzstaffel (SS),  was the first commandant of the Nazi concentration camps at Buchenwald.  On August 1, 1937  he was given command of the new concentration camp at Buchenwald.  Investigation into his improper conduct at Buchenwald included corruption,  fraud,  embezzlement,  drunkenness,  sexual offences and a murder.  Koch’s orders to kill prisoners at the camp were revealed,  as well as embezzlement of property stolen from prisoners.

Ilse Koch

Koch married Ilse Köhler with whom he had a son and two daughters.  Köhler later became known as “The ***** of Buchenwald.  She was accused of taking souvenirs from the skin of murdered inmates with distinctive tattoos.  She built an indoor sports arena, which cost over 250,000 marks, most of which were taken from the inmates arrested by the Gestapo for embezzlement of SS funds and the murder of certain inmates in an attempt to cover up these crimes.

She was tried for war crimes by an American military tribunal in 1947.  Prosecuting her was future United States Court of Claims Judge Robert L. Kunzig.  She was charged with  “participating in a criminal plan for aiding,  abetting and participating in the murders at Buchenwald.”  The tribunal found Koch guilty and sentenced her to life imprisonment.
After she had served two years,  General Lucius D. Clay,  the interim military governor of the American Zone in Germany,  pardoned her.  Owing to international condemnation,  however,  Koch was re-arrested in 1949 and tried before a West German court for instigation to murder in 135 cases.  She was sentenced to life imprisonment on January 15, 1951.  She committed suicide by hanging herself at Aichach women’s prison on September 1, 1967

Fred Chase Koch

….(September 23, 1900 – November 17, 1967)  chemical engineer and founded the TEXACO oil refinery firm that later became Koch Industries (Chevron).  Koch and its customers were sued for patent infringement,  process for turning crude oil into gasoline.  Litigation effectively put Winkler-Koch out of business in the U.S. for several years.  Koch turned his focus to foreign markets,  including the Soviet Union and NAZI GERMANY,  reportedly with the help of ERICH KOCH.

During his time in the Soviet Union,  Fred Koch came to despise communism and Josef Stalin’s regime “a land of hunger, misery and terror”.

Fred C. Koch married Mary Robinson in Kansas City, Missouri in 1932.  They had four sons,  Frederick (b. 1933), Charles  (b. 1935),  David  (b. 1940)  and William  (b. 1940).   His sons are Charles de Ganahl Koch and David H. Koch.

The New York Times on Charles and David:

“Koch Industries began with oil in the 1930s and now also spews an array of industrial products,  from Dixie cups to Lycra,  not unlike DuPont’s portfolio of paint and plastics.  Sometimes the biological DNA persists as well.  The Koch brothers’ father,  Fred,  was among the select group chosen to serve on the Birch Society’s top governing body.  In a recorded 1963 speech that survives in a University of Michigan archive,  he can be heard warning of   “a takeover”  of America in which Communists would  “infiltrate the highest offices of government in the U.S. until the president is a Communist, unknown to the rest of us”.  That rant could be delivered as is at any Tea Party rally today.

Last week the Kochs were shoved unwillingly into the spotlight by the most comprehensive journalistic portrait of them yet,  written by Jane Mayer of The New Yorker.  Her article caused a stir among those in Manhattan’s liberal elite who didn’t know that David Koch,  widely celebrated for his cultural philanthropy,  is not merely another rich conservative Republican but the founder of the Americans for Prosperity Foundation,  which,  as Mayer writes with some understatement,  “has worked closely with the Tea Party since the movement’s inception”.   To New Yorkers who associate the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center with the New York City Ballet, it’s startling to learn that the Texas branch of that foundation’s political arm,  known simply as Americans for Prosperity,  gave its Blogger of the Year Award to an activist who had called President Obama  “cokehead in chief.”

The John Birch Society

The foundation is financed via the oil and gas fortunes of Fred G. Koch,  a founding member of the John Birch Society.  Koch  “wrote admiringly of Benito Mussolini’s suppression of Communists in Italy, and disparagingly of the American civil-rights movement.

The depth of influence the Koch’s exert over the US conservative agenda

Sons Charles G. Koch and David H. Koch run the company as well as Koch Family Foundations,  one of the largest single sources of funding for conservative organizations in the United States.  Organizations and think tanks supported by the foundation include Citizens for a Sound Economy,  the libertarian Cato Institute,  Reason Magazine,  the Manhattan Institute,  the Heartland Institute  and the Democratic Leadership Council.  David H. Koch ran for president on the Libertarian Party ticket in 1980.  Author Thomas Frank wrote in  “What’s the Matter with Kansas?”  that  “Koch money flowed through Triad Management Services”,  an advisory service to conservative donors groups and candidates,  for the 1996 Senate campaign of Sam Brownback.  Other sources only hint at a connection of Koch family members and Triad.

Koch outspends Exxon on climate and clean energy disinformation

Although Koch intentionally stays out of the public eye,  it is now playing a quiet but dominant role in a high-profile national policy debate on global warming.  Koch Industries has become a financial kingpin of climate science denial and clean energy opposition.  This private,  out-of-sight corporation is now a partner to Exxon Mobil,  the American Petroleum Institute and other donors that support organizations and front-groups opposing progressive clean energy and climate policy.  In fact,  Koch has out-spent Exxon Mobil in funding these groups in recent years.

Another example of Republican ties to Koch Industries

(…) If convicted,  the company faced fines of up to $352 million,  plus possible jail time for company executives. After George W. Bush became president,  however,  the U.S. Justice Departmentdropped 88 of the charges.  Two days before the trial,  John Ashcroft settled for a plea bargain,  in which Koch pled guilty to falsifying documents.  All major charges were dropped,  and Koch and Ashcroft settled the lawsuit for a fraction of that amount.  Koch had contributed $800,000 to the Bush election campaign and other Republican candidates.

Koch family timeline from yahoo answers

A new article on Nazi skin lamps – NY Magazine

Ilse Koch was the most notorious for,  among other things,  her objects made from the skin of murdered prisoners.

Also from yahoo answers:

From yahoo questions – College Park,  Maryland,  has identified  “a human skin lampshade, or part of one,  from the Nazi concentration camp at Buchenwald.   The National Museum of Health and Medicine holds three pieces of tattooed human skin,  also from Buchenwald.   Ilse Koch is the most famous of all Germans accused of having committed atrocities during the war.   She was the wife of the commandant of the Buchenwald camp.   She was twice convicted in post-war trials,  once by an international court and once by her own country.   The chief charges against her were cruelty to inmates,  including murder,  but what she is best-known for is the making of human-skin ornaments,   including the lampshades of which we’ve all heard.

“Neoconservatism… originated in the 1970s as a movement of anti-Soviet liberals and social democrats in the tradition of Truman,  Kennedy,  Johnson,  Humphrey and Henry (‘Scoop’) Jackson,  many of whom preferred to call themselves ‘paleoliberals.’  [After the end of the Cold War]… many ‘paleoliberals’ drifted back to the Democratic center…  Today’s neocons are a shrunken remnant of the original broad neocon coalition.  Nevertheless,  the origins of their ideology on the left are still apparent.  The fact that most of the younger neocons were never on the left is irrelevant;  they are the intellectual  (and, in the case of William Kristol and John Podhoretz, the literal)  heirs of older ex-leftists.”

In his semi-autobiographical book,  Neoconservatism: The Autobiography of an Idea, Irving Kristol cited a number of influences on his own thought,  including not only Max Shachtman and Leo Strauss but also the skeptical liberal literary critic Lionel Trilling.  The influence of Leo Strauss and his disciples on neoconservatism has generated some controversy,  with Lind asserting:

“For the neoconservatives,  religion is an instrument of promoting morality.  Religion becomes what Plato called a noble lie.  It is a myth which is told to the majority of the society by the philosophical elite in order to ensure social order…  In being a kind of secretive elitist approach,  Straussianism does resemble Marxism.  These ex-Marxists,  or in some cases ex-liberal Straussians,  could see themselves as a kind of Leninist group,   you know,  who have this covert vision which they want to use to effect change in history,  while concealing parts of it from people incapable of understanding it.”

William Kristol defends his father by noting that the criticism of an instrumental view of politics misses the point.  When the context is a discussion of religion in the public sphere in a secular nation,  religion is inevitably dealt with instrumentally.  Apart from that,  it should be born in mind that the majority of neoconservatives believe in the truth,  as well as the utility,  of religion.

The Tea Party is not radical.  The Tea Party is the deadly anger in the populace that has always been there….has always driven Republicans. The strange part is we on the left sometimes believe their hatred is new or frame it in the media as ‘new’.  Although the anti-government sentiment seems at odd with the colonial policies and oppressive intelligence strategies of a neoconservative agenda, the neo-cons want nothing more than to dismantle government and install corporations.  The neocons also explicitly incorporate the usefulness of right wing movements such as religious groups.

The media,  the right wing media,  is not playing a game:  they are serious.  On the left we have recently argued and collectively seem to have decided to believe right wing media is not serious  –  is only manipulating fears for profit.  This is a mistake: this collective belief.  There is a chink in the logic – right wing media does actually believes its message at the level of the populace,  those who deliver and receive the message  –  and powerful right wing advocates are also manipulating fears for profit we cannot even imagine:  global domination in total.  I think in our current collective summary of these political battles,  we  (on the left)  are not fully recognizing the reality.

To refuse to protest this hatred is a strange choice by the left – to me.  Does it imply a deep complicity with the right’s xenophobia?   There are many Reagan democrats who never admitted it,  democrats who wanted a return to the colonial policies of Kennedy.

‎”Are Neocons & radical Islamists cut from the same fundamentalist cloth?”:   To a degree but there is a 3rd element  –  the political agendas supported by the neocons created the radical Islamist so there is a catch tangling everything. Both sides are a violent protest against multiplicity and pluralism.   More confusing,  the neocons are Kennedy liberals:  liberal policies before postmodernism.  Half of the US left finds itself in agreement with neocon sentiment,  foreign policy,  domestic policy  –  US colonialism  –  the half not connected to or influenced by postmodern ideas in some way. This is also an international rupture:   You see the effect of this split in France  –  the  ‘postmodern’  left opposed to banning the burkha is about 1/4 of the population.

Politics and war are the deadly mixtures of extremists on both sides – their target is a postmodern world.  Humanity is faced with the problem that America’s true colors are appearing,  are not hiding.

And the left in America is faced with the result of 30 years on inaction,   of refusing to get dirty.   Worse,  the left has to admit Obama so far is just a friendlier neoconservative.   We know his real politics are more left,   but Obama seems to have abandoned his own ethic.

If the Tea Party takes over America I expect the FBI to begin raiding the homes of anti-war activists and I would expect new legislation making it easier for the corporate government to censor the internet and I would expect a continuation of the Patriot Act and the Bush Doctrine.  I also expect a wave of xenophobia spreading that will be tolerated by the silence of the new president  –  I did not expect Obama to do it first.

Unless Obama’s move to fire Emmanuel signals a return to a forceful presidency  (only implied during the election)  then I am done voting or being a US citizen.  After Obama,  yes,   it will only be worse and the Koch brothers will own our lives,  which is why the President needs to make a stand and stop protecting his next campaign.

In this war of purity  –  purity fought for by both dedicated extremists of Islam,   dedicated defenders of American colonialism,  dedicated defenders of American corporate interest,   an angry xenophobic populace,   a mob of extremist Christians and others  –  divergent groups have become the pawns of a much deeper fascism that will do anything to protect its industrial empire.

The false writing of universals,  projected from within a dominant community out towards another community,  is destroying everything that exists in supposed strangeness.   The protection of multiplicity and cultural pluralism becomes the spine of the death or life of all cities.

Why not erase the idea of universals,   re-establish importance.   The idea of a history of exchanges can replace the idea of a universal.  Pragmatists,   for example,   believe ethics rise from human exchange.  Language develops the same:  we learn language from the person Other;  learn ethics from community Other – but outside of community humans often become violent to the Other and carve universal values into reality.  Universals are only psychological projections and this is the terrain where monsters are made.

Universals do erupt  –  but not as a product of nature.   When Gearge W. Bush invaded Iraq,  he was doing so with a new philosophy,  the new trend back towards the universal  –  the Bush Doctrine;  neocon ideology.  Iraqi citizens did not appreciate,  to say the least,  this assertion of universal values from the west – it seems they did not want to live in an Americanized suburb.

In the Koch family’s alliance with American Republicans:   conservatives,  constitutionalists,  racists,  tea partiers,  military hawks,  drooling fearful populists…    the Koch family has found an alliance in the continued homogenization of society.  Republicans gain purity in a world they have always viewed as a dirty,  impure space and corporate empires like Koch Industries,  built under the care of Nazi Germany and Stalin’s Soviet Union,   rise to lead the police state.

    Great piece.
I’m with you all the way on this:

Part of what the right wing is doing is the old “if you tell a lie often enough it will be seen as the truth.

And its offshoot – if you tell a totally outrageous lie often enough, most people wont be able to comprehend it, and will dismiss it.

this country is in a fight for its life vs neo-nazis tied in with the catholic church of Adoph hitler. Whose german born pope UNexcommunciated Bishop Wiillaimson, a holocaust deneir / minimizer.

And the extremists xtians who still long for the days of slavery , segregation and the KKK

the kochs are the connection point, German cathollics, fascists etc.

The Koch’s being the connection between it all is a mighty scary idea. It would almost seem beyond belief. Unfortunately, it is happening with a Don’t forget to throw in the Christian Reconstructionist, and their evil twin, the Dominionist.

There are many Koch green shoots embedded throughout the society. Its no coincidence these groups rose to prominence as WWII combat veteran population declined. It does make one historian observer curious about the political alliances between Koch Repubs. and the American Jewish Orthodoxy, as well as other fervent fundamentalist churches. Many questions remain unanswered about how this genealogy waddled itself through the societal hierarchy. Not done alone.

Well, except you wouldn’t want to be a Catholic in Germany during the Third Reich. 🙂

          Hitler was a psycho!
The man used Christianity as a means to an end.
That being said the Catholic Church itself is a distorted mockery of Christianity.

Please don’t lump all Christians in with these tea party, Nazi lunatics.

Why I support the Tea Bag Republican Party—even though I won’t be voting for them.

Critics of the Obama Administration are asking him to (in no particular order):

Stop the torture and rape rooms.
    Close Guantanamo Prison.
Give us real single payer health care.
Get rid of the thieves and con men who are guiding our economic policy.
    Properly fund AIDS research.
End the Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell policy in the military.
Give us an energy policy with some teeth in it.
Give us an economic policy with some teeth in it.
Prosecute key members of the Bush Administration for high crimes and misdemeanors.
Instigate investigations as to the causes and cover-up by BP of their murder of a whole ecosystem and regional economy and punish the corporate officers responsible with personal fines and jail sentences for offenses, if found guilty.
Instigate investigations as to the causes and cover-up by Massey energy in the coal mine disaster and subject their corporate officers to criminal sanctions and jail sentences for offenses, if found guilty.
Begin criminal prosecutions against the legion of other serial violators of consumer and employee health and safety regulations like salmonella king, Hillandale Farms’ CEO, Farms Orland Bethel.
Grant a full pardon for Private Bradley Manning and award him the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
End our policy of supporting Israel right or wrong.
Threaten sanctions against Israel for their continued illegal settlement construction.
Recognize Hamas as the duly elected representative of Palestine.
Complete our total withdrawal from Iraq and stop playing the shell game of substituting mercenaries for combat troops in that ravaged country.
Begin paying reparations to Iraq for our criminal war that has devastated the country and displaced over a million Iraqis.
    Withdraw all troops from Afghanistan.
    End drone attacks in Pakistan.
End sanctions against Iran and issue a formal apologize for our history of meddling and mistreatment of that country.
Withdraw all covet operatives from Iran.
Stop threatening a nuclear holocaust against Iran.
Fully restore Habeas Corpus and stop trying to illegally kill your fellow American citizens.

So many high crimes and indecent decisions—the list goes on and on….

All these cries have for the most part fallen on deaf ears both in the White House and in the Democratically controlled Congress. When Obama does respond, this is what he says:

“I hear your points. I know we may not be moving forward with the speed some people expect. But let me assure you we are moving forward. As I said before, if you want to have a conversation later about how we can address your concerns, it’s a conversation I’m happy to have. But what I want to do is talk about what’s coming up. I want us to talk about what’s at stake in this election, because the people that potentially will take over, if we don’t focus on this election, I promise you, they will ignore your concerns even more than we have, and they’ll cut every priority that you care about.”*

*This is pretty close to a verbatim quote compiled from a number of recent speeches. The only departure is the line “they will ignore your concerns even more than we have.” I’m sure such uncharacteristic honesty on Obamah’s part would be greeted with great shock.

So where do we go from here?

First of all, we are not moving forward. This is a lie told by a chronic liar. We are still on Bush’s course more now than ever. The classically evil military/industrial complex is still very much in control and the Devil take the hindmost. We have taken no steps to end American fascism—which is simply defined as government and the corporations in the same bed. Even Obama’s programs that have been touted as steps forward in the area of fiscal reform, health care and the environment have been frauds that will be ultimately proven to be beneficial only to the M/I complex.

And second of all, hearing that tired old fear card is once again played, urging the faithful to remain with the thieves, villains and liars we have rather than fly to thieves, villains and liars who are the greater of two evils, is something I will no longer abide. Even hearing this broken record dusted off and played again drives me nearly insane. I devoutly wish now I had voted for crazy John and silly Sarah in the last election—if for no other reason than to reject this line of “lesser of two evils” BS we have been handed by the Democrats for over half a century now. (more on this later)

If that doesn’t make you want to tar and feather the man and run him out of Washington on a rail (along with every other Democrat) I don’t know what will.

I have exhausted my patience with all of them.

I think it is finally time to tear it all down. This need not be a cry to storm the Bastille with flame and pitchforks. We already have a means that can accomplish the destruction of American “democracy” without a shot being fired. I say, let’s turn the country over to the Tea Party and the Republicans. In their stupid, greedy and above all, incompetent hands we will have a complete collapse of the country and the economy within four years. Hell, we might just have an economic collapse anyway—regardless of who’s in charge. The Great American Dream, the way it has been promised, and rarely if ever practiced, is over. As George Carlin said, “It’s called The American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe in it.” I say we call it off and pull the shroud over the corpse. I know that the warmongering Repugs will initially do little to abate the existing bilateral foreign policy carnage rampant in the world. Hopefully a total fiscal collapse of this country will soon enough cause the tanks in Iraq, the APCs in Afghanistan and the drones in Pakistan to run out of gas. One of the greatest terrorist states in world history will collapse from within. Thank the gods! This is not without a total, mortal danger to every man, woman and child in America. Thousands, perhaps millions will die—me included. Yet, considering the impact of this irredeemable culture and our deadly society is having on the lives and future of the people of the world and the very survival of life on the planet, it becomes essential to advocate the total destruction of this country as we know it. When the situation comes down to the distasteful choice between my life and the survival of the world, I would gladly give up my life. Knowing all the ramifications, only someone morally anesthetized would argue any other course. Of course, to the vast majority of consumers of the blue pill in this country, this argument is madness.

Here is the plan, initial critical details of which can be found, analized in an Op-Ed by George Lakoff:

Why the Democrats’ Response to the Pledge Has Been Inadequate

    Monday 27 September 2010

    by: George Lakoff, t r u t h o u t | Op-Ed

The Democratic response to the Republican Pledge to America has been factual about its economics. The September 26, 2010, Sunday New York Times’ editorial goes through the economic details, and Democrats have been citing the economic facts from the Congressional Budget Office. As Dan Pfeiffer reports on the White House blog, the Republicans are proposing:

    * Tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires by borrowing $700 billion we can’t afford;
    * Tax hikes for 110 million middle-class families and millions of small businesses;
    * Cutting rules and oversight for special interests like big oil, big insurance, credit card and mortgage companies and Wall Street banks;
    * Doing nothing to stop the outsourcing of American jobs or to end tax breaks that are given to companies that ship jobs overseas;
    * All while adding trillions to our nation’s deficit.

Their plan is also notable for what it doesn’t talk about: protecting Social Security and Medicare from privatization schemes, investing in high-quality education for our nation’s children, growing key industries like clean energy and manufacturing and rebuilding our crumbling roads, rails and runways.

Poor George Lakoff! He remains ever the loyal Democrat strategist, still doing sums on the deck of the Titanic. In the rest of the article he pretty carefully articulates why the Republicans will win in November and continue winning. Hint: it has nothing to do with them being right or the rigor of their fiscal analysis. As outlined in this Op-Ed, we find, in The Pledge, one of the most effective programs and strategies for revolution ever devised to bring down the United States. And I am supporting it. Let me tell you why, how this can be accomplished and how you can participate.

A little history is in order here. During the infamous Barry Goldwater Presidential campaign, a splinter group of left-wing radicals once seriously suggested that revolutionaries should join the Republican Party and support his program because, if adopted, it would be the surest, fastest way to bring the country to its knees and facilitate step one in an anarchist plot to overthrow the Capitalist system.

I think this is a perfect occasion to revive this obscure footnote on radical politics. The time is ripe for it to work. First of all, this country is weaker and more vulnerable than it ever has been in the past. I believe we are circling the drain and in all likelihood, America will rapidly collapse into a third world country. Oh yes, we will still have our cars—pulled by oxen.

The most striking feature of the current scene is the absence of a coherent vision of our multiple related predicaments and how they add up to a valid picture of reality. To be precise, I mean our predicaments of 1.) energy resources, 2.) vanishing capital, and 3.) ecocide. This inability to decode the clear and present dangers to civilized life is a failure of leadership and authority without precedent in the American story.

    James Howard Kunstler

Many things are contributing to and accelerating this collapse. We have a rapid and increasing migration from the middle class to the lower economic classes. Several of the platforms of the Pledge have been beautifully designed to dramatically facilitate this migration.

The top 10 percent, roughly those earning more than $100,000, also reached a level of income share not seen since before the Depression…the top group received 440 times as much as the average person in the bottom half earned, nearly doubling the gap from 1980.

(Note: The only trickle down your going to get from this small top group will be in the form of blood draining from the slashed throats of members of the new rich class. As soon as things get so dangerous that it will not be safe to drive a Mercedes on the mean streets of America, these high end rats will dessert the ship for safer compounds in sunnier climes.)

Unemployment across the board is on the rise and will continue as the electorate goes to the polls in a month. This bodes well for the defeat of all Democrat candidates, incumbents and contenders alike. The Republicans regaining the Congress this November (an important first step in the anarchist revolution) has already been acknowledged by many Democrat strategists. I have always laughed at the concept of averaging unemployment figures without taking into account the worst, deepest unemployment percentages among certain groups, say the residents of Detroit or young black men. It is a little like telling the victim of a sulfuric acid attack that the average damage is around twenty percent because most of her body received minor injury but she has lost the use of her eyes and hands.

Thirdly, our wars, which no one seems even slightly interested in curtailing, will continue to progress and increase faster than the presses at the US mint can turn out fiat money. This will continue to gravitate the US faster and faster into the black hole of total collapse. Survivalists will be better advised to trade their shotguns for chopsticks. I hear “Obama’s Wars,” Woodward’s profile of President Obama (in which he details this despined President standing up to top Pentagon brass) has already been moved to the fiction section of the booksellers’ shelves—next to Tony Blair’s “A Journey—My Political Lie.”

Now is the time Democrats are putting aside the harsh truth of the Party’s record of total failure and their divorce from reality and nearly every principle of small “d” democracy that once made them the hope of working class, poor, disadvantaged and minority people all over the world. Up and down the land, the cry goes forth,

“Fear the Tea Baggers, fear the Republicans, fear the Iranians, (even) fear the Progressives. If you are unhappy with Obama, give him time. He will work it out—but for God’s sake vote Democrat in November.”

I don’t think that all the grass roots Democrat organizers are cynical manipulators like Obama, Emanuel and Gibbs, who privately (and sometimes publically) laugh at the rank and file for the fools they are. Most are truly good-hearted people who really think they can save this country. I don’t think (Bluepill metaphors notwithstanding) they are capable of seeing that Obama is just a more palatable and polished form of George W. Bush—and he is, as a result, far, far more dangerous.

So then let me tell you my plan to overthrow the government, get the blood flowing in the streets, fight American terrorism and finally flush this defrauded American Wet Dream down the toilet.

I plan on doing nothing at all. I will not lift a finger to support our latest failed President or any Democrat candidate. For the first time in my life, I will not be voting. I will never vote again. Letting the Republicans have their Plan for America succeed will do the rest. I hope you all will do the same. It couldn’t happen to a greater country!

I don’t understand why you can say you’re supporting the Tea Party when your first paragraph, or list, doesn’t comply with that whatsoever. Those aren’t critics of Obama. They’re critics of the mess that Obama has to clean up after some 30+ years of Conservative control, not really Obama himself. I’m not saying that Obama is perfect, but you’re asking for some radical changes when he has difficulty passing any legislation as it is with a legislature full of anti-tax, anti-change, and anti-big-government senators and representatives. When you don’t use fear or religion as a weapon, like the Right, it’s a lot more difficult to get things done. While I’m frustrated in the seemingly apathetic stance that the Democrats have taken, I’m glad that they aren’t being total idiots and scaring away what’s left of the party by “going rogue” or something. That’s what happened in the 60s and look where that got us.

Your post makes me sad, Bob.
      You have given up.
And that’s precisely what the Tea Baggers (and everyone who is against all of the changes you listed in the beginning of your post) want you to do.

If there are enough idiots left to vote in more Tea Party candidates, stand aside and let it happen. Personally, I don’t see a quicker way short of nukes to finish this unfortunate failure off with the political equivalent of a shot to the head.

Frankly, I think there’s been SO damned much damage done in ALL areas that there’s just not a chance in hell of recovery.

If you are not willing to fight for your freedom, someone will happily take it from you. America is suffering post-colonial Empire blues. Our little American Empire rose and fell in 50 years and the Anglo/Franco testosterone driven culture called ‘Western Civ’ is going the way of the dodo after a brief hey-day of less than 400 years. Since the Red States have already offered themselves up as the lands of the indentured servant, they will probably continue to be ground into poverty until the Federal government rebuilds enough to enforce Constitutional oversight of corporations. Jindal and his ilk are the Quislings and sappers of America. Their subjects can’t get their noses out of the dirt long enough to notice the boot heel on their necks. Enter the smartphone. No more secret knowledge, no more hidden crimes. The Age of the written word as sacred is over. The “Crazy Years” are ending.

“Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night”
      By Dylan Thomas

Do not go gentle into that good night,
      Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

“If you convince people-particularly the people who would otherwise be activists that there is no hope, that they ought to be cynical because everything is just crap…well, then you are creating a self-fulfilling prophesy because if people give up on politics, they’re giving up on democracy. Which is the applied form of politics. And if they give up on democracy, they’re ceding the entire game to the big vested interests. The moneyed interests. The people who are using politics now to entrench their own self and their own self-interest.”

The problem isn’t necessarily Obama, it’s the composition of the Congress. The House is comprised of Tea Party people who only obstruct any type of forward movement. Don’t forget, it’s the House that controls the purse strings of this country. Get rid of the Tea Party people in the House in favor of Goldwater type Conservatives and much of what you are complaining about would have a chance to get fixed. I’m not saying Obama is perfect, but there are choices outside of either the Tea Party or Obama. If you don’t like either party, go have a look at the Green Party, then.

Thankyou, Bob for your letter pointing out the utter futality of hegemey. In 1932, Fox Helped Make Propaganda Films for Hitler

    Webster G. Tarpley, Ph.D.
    September 30, 2010

Observers of the current US election season have noted the prominent role of Rupert Murdoch’s reactionary Fox News Channel, which currently employs GOP and “Tea Party” partisans Sarah Palin, Glen Beck, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Sean Hannity, and others. Some have alleged that a television network carrying so many potential political candidates and propagandists on its payroll is unprecedented. But there is a precedent for large-scale Fox intervention into a political campaign.

In 1932, the German newsreel subsidiary of Fox News Channel’s corporate ancestor, Fox Films, intervened in national elections in Germany.

The candidate Fox supported was Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.

The basic facts are available in German historian Hans Mommsen’s authoritative study entitled The Rise and Fall of Weimar Democracy, which is translated into English and widely available in over five hundred libraries in this country. Mommsen, one of the most distinguished postwar German historians, is now Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Bochum. In Mommsen’s account of Nazi propaganda techniques, we find the following: “There was nothing that escaped the ingenuity of Nazi propagandists. A case in point was the use of film. Under Goebbels’ influence the party had begun to exploit the potential of the political propaganda film to an unprecedented extent as early as 1930. Such films were shown mostly in places where Hitler and other prominent party leaders were not able to appear as speakers.

ALL THAT BLIEVE POWERFUL PROPAGANDA & LIES BEING USED nightly conspiracy theories that have come to pass for “truth” on FOX.

“The essence of propaganda consists in winning people over to an idea so sincerely, so vitally, that in the end they succumb to it utterly and can never escape from it.” Goebbels
“the most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly and with unfiagging attention. It must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over. Persistence is the first and most important requirement for success.

The purpose is to convince the masses. The masses are slowmoving, and only after the simplest ideas are repeated thousands of times will the masses finally remember them.
Would have to say today in 2010 Faux Talk Show has succeeded in becoming a HUGH PROPAGANDA MACHINE IN AMERICA.

Unfortunately every appointee, agency head, you-name-it with the power to act on accusations of high treason, malfeasance in office, racketeering, murder, crimes against humanity and all the rest are themselves on the same side as the accused! This has been a generations-long takeover by the oligarchy, the 1%, and as far a I can tell they haven’t missed a single office. They’re even covered if they DID miss one and that someone tried to force accountability forward: the connections that killed the Kennedy brothers still exist, plus quite a few more. and quite a few more technologies that are new. Have you noticed the high attrition rate of 9-11 witnesses? No, like Mr. Boldt, I can see the problems, I know what the damage is (and it’s astounding!), but short of allowing it all to come crashing down, I don’t see any way out. We need to move the Mid-term elections back into the presidential cycle. Midterm elections are sometimes regarded as a referendum on the sitting president’s and/or incumbent party’s performance. The party of the incumbent president tends to lose ground during midterm elections: over the past 21 midterm elections, the President’s party has lost an average 30 seats in the House, and an average 4 seats in the Senate; moreover, in only two of those has the President’s party gained seats in both houses.Midterm elections usually generate lower voter turnout than presidential elections. While the latter have had turnouts of about 50-60% over the past 60 years, only about 40 percent of those eligible to vote actually go to the polls in midterm elections. 62% of those who voted in the 2014 Mid-term election voted Republican. For all of the money the Democrats poured into this election, they failed to turnout the voters. Personally, I don’t think the average Democratic voter knows enough about the elections process or how important it is to the overall picture and therefore don’t bother. Also, the Latino voters were angry about the immigration situation and the Democrats didn’t exploit this issue to their advantage. I’d also like to see mandatory voting for every adult US citizen with a full week-end starting on Friday for ballot voting at local Boards of Election, and I’d like to see each BOE holding rolling classes in Civics (which, I believe, has been intentionally stripped out of the public schools,) so voters understand their government, the party platforms and the candidates. We need to regain control over our government who should have done something about the Koch brothers, Sheldon Adelson’s, Citizens United/McCutcheon and all of the outside secret money in our political system. Moving the Mid-terms is once step in that direction. Private individuals with too much money cannot be allowed to own our political system. Please join this mission to move the Mid-terms back into the presidential cycle.

The basic problem with elections goes far beyond what you have mentioned and what you have suggested as a solution, though your posting was helpful and insightful.

We have crooked elections for various reasons. It is not only the electronic voting machines. It is not only those who do not want photo identification to vote. Candidates are funded by schemers and deceivers of the worst kind. Candidates are owned and therefore cannot ever consider first the needs of the common good of the people. Elections officers or commissioners can be easily purchased.

Recently about an equal but inadequate number of congress members and senators of both parties tried to vote against the bill that eliminated important provision of the Dodd-Frank Act which prevented banks from taking depositors’ money to cover their derivative bets. So Democrats and Republicans are fed up with many Obama and “democratic” positions, which by the way are positions vicious to the working poor and vicious to the small business operator.

The whole system is intractably CORRUPT. Your suggestion on how to take our government back is probably well intentioned but totally inadequate and does not address the totally sold-out corrupt nature of our political and governmental system

I’m well aware of all of the other reasons but felt no need to catalog them here. Had this Mid-term election gone on in the last presidential election when Obama was returned to office, we would not now be facing the worst holocaust this country will see in its entire history. The 115th Congress is going to be the death of the American Dream and pure corruption on steroids. We can’t let this happen again. I’m only isolating one line item here to be dealt with; of course there are many other factors but this is doable in the short term and would stop the dichotomous flip-flop voting that has been going on ever since the Mid-terms were carved out.

You should really be ashamed of yourself for putting something like this out based on nearly no evidence other than your hunch or even worse your desire to make someone look bad regardless of the facts. The number of holes in your theory are so great that I am actually shocked that you feel comfortable putting it out there. First off, Fred Koch was in the United States from at least 1932 on…. In case you haven’t heard WWII didn start until 1939 and was over in 1945 literally over a decade after Koch had done business in the Soviet Union. Furthermore, Fred Koch has established roots for years and was raising a family in Kansas years before the rise of Hitler. Whatsmore, the Koches are dutch! The type of character assasination that happens when you dislike someone’s politics can be sad, but to put something like this on the internet where someone who may actually find this and think that it has an element of truth to it is low down and dirty. I hope you realize that you are basically the left’s version of the birthers… so when you laugh at them and call them idiots you should pause and realize that you’re the same kind of idiot.

yes, you are right the TP have taught us how this character assassination thing works and rule one is that truth should be avoided. forcing the other side to fact something that is a lie make the lie more real – see we learn fast. if i start to get soft all i have to do is pick up Colter’s “How to Talk to a Liberal” or look at the abu ghraib photos or re-watch the John Karry swift boat commercials (they’re on-line). yes, i am a peace and love hippy but there is a time for everything under the sun and now is the time to let evil come to evil.

when the europeans arrived in a america the ability to break agreements and tell lies was incomprehensible to the indigenousness people. in hind-sight it is obvious that they should have burned all the first settlements to the ground – taken their guns and horses and as quickly as possible adapted the technology. instead they treated the new arrivals they way they would have treated another indigenous group. and as a result were killed off in the most horrific ways.

the truth is that Koch/Bush/Cheney, etc. are evil people who want to destroy america and make us their surfs. anything that supports this truth is truth, supporting facts are not needed. this message must be repeated thousands of times. see we’re learning and this thing – this grassroots uprising – that the Kochies started will come back and bit them in the ass.

The Koch brothers are bad actors, no doubt. This article though is a smear worthy of Glenn Beck. The Koch brothers are answerable for their own crimes, not those of their putative relatives. I couldn’t even make out how the Nazis described in the article are related to the Koch bros. I would much rather focus on what they do now and stop that than get caught up in guilt-by-lineage. Although their father did business in Nazi Germany, there’s no indication that the Koch brothers ever met Ilse and the Nazi Kochs. Instead of this ill-sourced article, I recommend Jane Mayer’s article in the New Yorker; it is based on real world, documented evidence.

    • 02/25/2011 1:30 am

What is the evidence that Fred did business in Nazi Germany?

      • 02/25/2011 8:29 am

The web is pretty much wiped clean of any sources relating Nazi to Koch Industries…so if they did do business with Germany during the Nazi reign, someone should put that shit back up. This article, while red meat for a lib like me, doesn’t have any sources to back up the headline.

That his supporters attack the Koch’s, e.g., is a good example of red herrings.
Of course what was done 70 years ago is more important than that this mealy mush of mediocrity — aka obama — no ?

It sounds like a stream of hate filled comments that you last left on this site. The far Right and the far Left are sure good haters and apparently stray as far from the truth as possible. Without arguing the lost cause with you about what constitutes a Nazi I will say that I am Sick and Tired of Everybody who demeans the office of the President by referring to the current President as anything other than President Obama. Regardless of your personal disappointments, this country, the United States of America, deserves to have it’s President respected for his office. If you prefer someone else to hold it, then vote for someone else and live with the results like the rest of us fairly reasonable people. Or, of course, leave the country for some better place. Even the dry-drunk ex-President Bush will always be ex-President Bush even if indicted and found guilty of many notable excesses as was ex-President Nixon.

Isn’t the topic here about the lineage of the current Koch brothers?? The point to tracing their background would be to create a direct line from the two current Nazi heads of Koch Industries who fund the Tea Party to the Nazi Party in Germany which exterminated millions of people. That original story has enormous resonance with anyone who sees photographs of trenches full of dead bodies, starving faces peering out from barbed wire, piles of gold fillings from teeth pulled from dead people, the list is sickening and endless. Follow that with the Nazi propaganda rally in 1932 that was videoed by a German ‘artist’. People need to make the visceral link between that rally in 1932 and Tea Party rallies of 2012 to comprehend what is in store for this country under that regime. It’s not good enough to back away from it. We MUST FACE it. Enough with the rhetoric.

re racism and obama – pls remember that Hitler was fundamentally a racist protecting the aryan race

He saw Jews – semites as not true whites, murdered about 500,000 gypsies – egyptions who are actually semites also, closely related to Jews

BTW he murdered about 50000 gays because they didnt produce more soldiers for his murderous army

And 3 million or so soviet prisoners because then he didnt have to feed them

America was different – we took about 10000 german prisonerrs to the USA and put them to work on famrs during wwII. If they behaved they became american citizens

Bottom line on all of this – IF you are so outrageous like the tea party repubs / Koch, people wont believe the danger coming. Hitler told the destitute germns that they woulld all have jobs

OF course it was building instruments of mass murder. and we had to respond in kind

BTW Fox News – Roger Ailes was nixons guy who convert the dixiecrat south to the repubs, the foundation being the hatred of dems for pr. Johnson passing the civil rights bills of 64 and 65.

Here in Anne arundel county a woman named Joyce thomann (note the german name – may be of significance – called obama

Worse then hitler. ignoring that hitler murdered the 24000 blacks in germany

Shes part of the Heritage foundation – the heriatage of america being the most religious nation in the west, and the extremist protestants who justified slavery, and now hate Obama not for being black but for supporting out gay citizens equal rights under civil law.

Thomann was head of the AA county MD womens group Her husband taught at the naval academy and rumor is he was fired for her comments. Not sure where he is now, God at least did a good job – she died of cancer. last year.

IMO america is close to a civll war or the takeover by the extremist who will do anything at all to take over power.. The other groups prominent at CPAC this past month or so were the AFA and FRC – vicous haters of gay people and they are evangelicals / southern baptists

they are not concervatives – they are neo nazi in their ideas eg Look up Tony perkins of FRC and $82000 pid to David duke -a grand dragon of the KKK. 2001

Look up southern baptist preacher worley of NC
who said “gays belong behind an electrified fence” (death camps ref)

Look up peter spriggs of FRC who said “I want to export gays” it was about immigration but code words for doing what Hitler did – exported them to the death camps.

the tip of the iceberg of a neo nazi america as their goal. all these extremists are southern baptists brought up to hate others.

BTW in Mein Kampf hitler was often referring to God and Providence.

Good information, but there’s a problem from the standpoint of, in order to change things and fight this ‘neo-conservatism,’ it will not do us any good, to incite thoughts of the Koch’s being tied to Nazi Germany. Even though they may have had roots there, many have.

I believe that this country brought Nazi scientists here after the war, and gave them immunity, in exchange for their knowledge, although I don’t have a source for this.

I believe in order to fight this threat that most of us see as undermining the way democracy is supposed to function, we cannot start instilling thoughts such as the ‘Kochs are Nazis’, this isn’t going to do anyone any good and will be seen as an attack from the far left.

What we need to fight are facts that are relevant in today’s contexts, many of them are present in this information. And we need to see, even though many of us are looking for different angles to attack them by, that the Koch brothers are not responsible for what their relatives may have done in the past, similar to how whoever is related to slave owning persons in the past are not responsible at this point in time.

In order to fight these people head on, we need to fight them with facts, free thought, knowledge and ideas. Tying them to Nazi Germany will not help galvanize change, and will be torn apart by the right, and seen to be below the belt attack, on something that is no longer relevant in a modern context, despite what any of us personally feel the Koch’s are like and are doing.

“Tying them to Nazi Germany will not help galvanize change, and will be torn apart by the right, and seen to be below the belt attack, on something that is no longer relevant in a modern context”

Not quite true. First, as I understand, there is a family tie to the Nazis. They are also very much old family ‘elites’, and they – ‘elites’ I mean – financed and to some extent “taught” Hitler. The Kochs do appear to back the depopulation program, and they crib freely from the same playbook for tactics. They’re certainly just as sociopathic and as bigoted. The Nazi scientists the CIA brought home ended up in charge over decades, and their goals and philosophies have always been very much in evidence in our own programs, I’m sad to say. Their aims include the destruction of any sort of egalitarian society here, and I understand they look down on “lesser classes and inferior races” of humans.

As I see it, they ARE tied to the Nazis – and to oligarchy and fascism, period. They’re more insanely rich, sociopathic destroyers. They’re like a nest of vipers and I think of them that way. It’s accurate, and anyone too squeamish to deal with it are just leaving themselves more vulnerable to them and to the rest of the destroyers who’ve so damaged so much!.

Please see my comment today to MoxcyyMoxcy – at least the second half! People have lineage that they either accept or reject and there is history in this family of accepting the sins of the fathers, as it were, and a direct connection from today’s Kochs to the Kochs operating in tandem with the Nazi regime can be extremely relevant in relation to the outcome of the Nazi Party’s grip on Germany being the literal interpretation of where we are headed as a country run by the Tea Party.

This is called learning from history rather than modifying or denying it. Nobody needs to reinvent the wheel no matter how many times people want to try. Wake up folks! The attitude that oh, this can’t happen here, or now, is disproved by Germany’s history and no one is more aware of that then the Germans, even today.

  15. 02/25/2011 1:29 am

What happened to my comment from yesterday asking for sources?
Precisely how are Karl Otto and Fred related? Erich and Fred? Erich was king of east prussia, and Fred was in Russia. How did the two get together? When? Is there evidence Fred was in Germany in the 30’s?

  16. 02/25/2011 8:22 am

The Tea Party is not only an arm of corporate America – it is a breeding ground for hate.

  17. 02/25/2011 8:24 am

To a comment above – Fred Koch was the oil man for Nazi Germany, then Stalin, then the US. It is history… no evidence needed. Look into it.

  18. 02/25/2011 8:28 am

And if you need evidence, look at how the story is spun in many places (Germany left out) versus the other version, which always includes Germany – the family openly acknowledges their father was an oil man for Stalin, but they spin the story…. play up on later events when Stalin kicks him out of the USSR. The evidence rests between. I am not a journalist and in many ways this piece is an allegory of “now”. But it also seems, as far as I can tell, to be true. Again, look between… Look at the official history of the Koch’s…. look at how controlled the information is now… Look at the Koch’s website and see how much bullshit they peddle. Then ask yourself, why does the gap in their father’s history correspond with all above.

This story has zero evidence. Zero. The only “evidence” is that both have the name Koch. This is a very common name in Germany. Other than that, zilch. “Look it up,” of “check the Library of Congress” is no evidence. This borders on the ridiculous.

  20. 02/25/2011 11:01 am

“Fred Koch was the oil man for Nazi Germany, then Stalin, then the US. It is history… no evidence needed. Look into it.”

I and some others have looked into this deeply. If you know this, you heard it or read it somewhere. Where?

“And if you need evidence, look at how the story is spun in many places (Germany left out) versus the other version, which always includes Germany – the family openly acknowledges their father was an oil man for Stalin, but they spin the story”

The official story does seem spun, but how can you assume that there’s a reason that Germany is left out out on purpose, and not that it was left out because it was never there?
One of the Nazi’s big problems was, according to the official story, a serious lack of fuel. They supposedly got some oil from Rumania and some other places, but most of it came from converting coal to synthetic fuel. If Fred worked for the Nazi’s they would have had his special refineries going or would have been buying fuel from them. Were they? Did they?

What is the gap in his history? What years? What was he doing before and after?

We can suspect, but we can’t make a case from things that aren’t there. It would be very helpful if you could point to something that shows any of these people are related, or that Fred and Erich were doing business; that Fred was ever in Germany, or that Erich ever went to Russia to meet him or people with him.

I have a strong feeling that Damien wrote this in earnest (unsubstantiated of course). I’m actually grateful that he did because it inspired me to start digging around to see what’s true, half-true, and untrue here. Some surprising and interesting things are coming to light and I will share them if they can be corroborated.

That said, I think I also might know where this Nazi business comes from. Fred worked for Texaco when it was The Texas Company. Around that time (haven’t verified the dates yet – I actually think it was earlier) the CEO of the the Company was a fellow named Rieber. British intelligence apparently passed information to the Herald Tribune that implicated Rieber in selling oil to Franco and indirectly/possibly directly to the Nazis. Rieber was involved with a German spymaster who had represented american business interests in Germany, but had come to the States and lived under an assumed name in Rochester NY, meeting Rieber and many others, passing critical information back to Germany. You can read the whole story in Time Magazine circa 1940.
So we can safely say that Texaco *was* doing business with the Nazis, possibly even after we went to war with them. What we can’t say yet is if Koch had anything to do with this. I wonder if Koch himself wasn’t working with British Intelligence as his first big job was to set up refineries in England with his very interesting friend de Ganahl.

I also suspect that the Koch family isn’t of Dutch origin at all, and that this is just a flimsy cover for being German. If it’s revealed, all they would need to do is say “oh everyone made the Dutch/Deutsch mistake back then.”

Meanwhile we don’t have anything at linking the American Koch’s to Karl Otto or Erich Go Lightly except the possibility that both Fred Koch and Erich Koch were in roughly the same place at roughly the same time and the rising Nazis would have definitely wanted to have a word with this fellow who had extraordinary knowledge of how to refine more oil, more easily. Erich was responsible for shipping back all manner of goodies from East Prussia and this would most certainly have fallen under his purview.

The thing that needs to be looked into is the fellow who partnered with Fred Koch and his classmate Keith. Lewis Winkler. In some accounts he is described as a classmate, and in others he’s mentioned as a “self-taught construction expert.” He might be key to this story.

I don’t know that there is a connection between Otto, Ilse Koch and the Koch brothers, other than the fact that they are all Right-wing adherents. I haven’t found enough other articles on the subject to run a check.

What I do know is that (1) the George W. Bush (OIL) family’s grandfather, Prescott Bush, was involved in setting up the American Nazi Party, (2) that Fred Chase Koch developed a process for refining OIL (he was a chemical engineer) and co-founded the John Birch Society and (3) if you compare the dogma of both of these groups you will find the Aryan Nation/Rule the World/White Supremacy etc, common threat in their mutually conservative (Right-wing) thinking.

The John Birch Society effectively became the Tea Party which is funded by the Heritage Foundation, the Cato Institute, FreedomWorks and Americans for Prosperity which are conduits for Koch money into the Tea Party, and the Tea Party is radically Right-wing in its orientation and thinking, making it the Neo Nazi Party it is… a rose by any other name is still a rose, and Nazi goals of world domination, no matter what you call it (like sweetsey names like ‘Tea Party’), is still a fanatic, Right-wing organization that we need to be genuinely afraid of.

I liked the article, and think it is important, however 1. It was poorly written and that made it difficult to read, and 2. There’s too much guilty by association with regard to Koch and Naziism.
Most of us are from dysfunctional families, and obviously this one is highly dysfunctional (anyone with an ancestor who had a penchant for making lampshades from human skin has got to have some history of mental illness in their family). The thing is, not everyone who is from a family adopts the same idealogy of their parents, grandparents, etc. Most, yes, but not everybody.
Me, I think the Koch’s are primarily out of touch, and their wealth makes them that way. One look at Camilla’s and Charles’ faces when their car was attacked by rioters shows us all just how out of touch wealth can make a person.
There may be some mental illness lingering in the family, and that WOULD be interesting to find out. The problem is, in most families, the members huddle around the defective one (or the most defective one) to hide and “protect” them from view and reprisals.
So, all I really have to go on that is real is that the Koch’s are simply out of touch. The fact that anyone can be easily influenced by anyone is almost irrelevant. What would be good to know is the exact nature of the problem, because you can’t slove any problem until you know what it is.

Why look for a connection between the Nazi Kochs and the U.S. Kochs?? To follow the money. If the start of the Koch empire was funded by oil deals made with the Nazis or Russia then all of it is tainted with the same stain – the blood of concentration camp victims. This connection is a way to simplify for the masses the message of hate being acted out by the Kochs behind various fronts. Follow the lead of the rightwingers: keep the message simple, direct, attention grabbing and repeat it all of the time. It would be best to repeat a message of truth rather than lowering our standards to innuendo, so finding a link between the 30s and today would be great. Someone asks about a family tree. Well, where is the family tree for Fred?? So far it ends in 1900 in Texas when he was born. Research his parents who immigrated from Holland or was that Germany?? Or from Germany with a stop in Holland?

Why else do we care? Because if the German Nazi Kochs and Fred and his boys are related then generations of the same family are expressing the same feelings. They have not changed. They are not atoning, turning their backs on the past but attempting to re-write it or re-live it. Those things should not happen. In the process of seeing that they don’t – getting out the simple message of what their stand actually means – liberals also have a strong platform against the Kochs’ position. We need to be on the offensive not the defensive and this is one way to do it.

Would seem to be prudent as well to further explore the links between the Kochs, the Krupps, and Theodore Koch the land broker and church planter who was working for some very powerful European interests about the same time that old Harry went out to Qanah, Texas and became wealthy a little too fast.

Two bits of news, one not so recent: Frederick R. Koch, Jr. purchased the Krupp estate in Salzburg after the “last” Krupp died. (Not too sure about that Last Krupp thing as the family name was Krupp von Bohlen and there is, as I type, a fellow named Bohlen who is the head of communications for the German-American Marshall Fund). That’s the old news. The newer news is that Wild Bill Krupp just built a western town on his estate near Aspen. He has a fascination with old west? Plenty of other Germans keep popping up with an interest in the old west. Hitler himself, numerous academics and artists who traveled through, almost as if… they were scouting out new territories for settlement.

@ Melissa. Your reply digresses from the original article that places Fred Koch as the first American born Koch from immigrant parents arriving from “Holland” and working in Texas. However, the original article is not foot noted so is thus unverified. There have been several references to producing a family tree. That is the best idea. Another source of verification for some of this info is the Simon Wiesenthal Center which is dedicated to tracking Nazis. They should have verified info about this issue.

I agree the article that inspired all these comments is an example of “guilt by association” European nazi Kochs and American Kochs doing business with each other long ago. No references…no actual family connection is made in this article that frankly uses some of the same inflammatory techniques employed by the FOX channel …that I despise. Isn’t what the present day Koch family doing…bad enough??? There’s plenty of fuel right there that is actually real…to motivate anyone interested in continuing our Democracy up off their recliner to do something. For starters, let’s try thinking straight…basing actions and plans on facts….please! Yes we can!

This would be a fascinating connection between Ilse and the present Koch brothers, but it doesn’t hold up under scrutiny:

What is fair game is to link the Tea Party and European fascism philosophically. We are in a moment with middle class-disabling austerity and government seizure by industry that a destabilized public is conceivable, where the masses are less rational and, through fear, more easily manipulated by propaganda abuses in the media. That is definitely coming from the right these days. With the right mix, we could wind up in a quagmire leading to some kind of fascist tyranny. It would likely come wrapped in a flag and quoting the Bible.

I also left a longer version of this comment on Google SideWiki:

I personally find most of this article convincing except the link between the Koch German military family and the Koch Oil Baron family.

The only reference on this statement is a Yahoo Questions link that has since been deleted by Yahoo.

The link seems almost too convenient, and I’m unwilling to quite accept the conclusion without more proof. If there was more references I would be willing to consider it fact, not just speculation.

But we miss the third leg of the triad. The first two are the christian extremists who gave us slavery, the KKk, and segregation. Now they hate gays

the second is the corporate empires, that move good jobs overseas and destroy our economy

the third one is missed in this paper. Hitler was a catholic who has yet to be EXcommunicated, dead or alive, by his church that claims to support life.

And it was the catholic church that gave us the hatred of the Jews over a millenia. Which hitler leverged to gain election and 55 million died.

the final part of this horror story is seen in the following websites and

And lets remeber that the catholic church supported the Facist franco during the spanish civil war 1936-`1939 because the commies religion was communism, not Jesus, and the founders of communism were Jews, eg Marx and Trotsky

And now the world has the vatican by its gonads. The endless hidden molestation of children has been found all over the world. the church is dead in western Europe, dying in latin america as gay marriage becomes the norm there. And many other countreis aas well.

And they know that once America supports gay marriage, the whole world except for islamic influence states will follow.

And of course there is a Pope who was chosen because he comes from and was born and brought up in Nazi germany. He understands how to demonzie people.

    But its not working.

In a sense, this is all part of the second anythign but Holy Inquisition tells the rest.

Along with Glenn beck who said that the 70 kids murdered in norway were hitler youth.

If you tell a lie often enough and outrageous enough, it will be seen as the truth. Known to come from Goebbels, but applies to the catholic church

There’s little question that America has been experiencing creeping fascism for years, and the evidence is mounting. The symptoms are in the news daily — voter suppression, union busting, corporate supremacy — which, as you peel away the layers of invisibility, have the Kochs’ fingerprints all over them. I’m just afraid that most Americans are too many decades removed from the horrors wrought by the Nazis to connect the events of today to those of the 30s.

Your facts about the Koch family may be useful and appear true (some of which I know to be true first-hand), despite differences with what I see as side-railed analyses. If you are not just a CIA pundit contorting already known facts — Please send any of your research/knowledge on the Kochs to US Attys Rod Rosenstein in Baltimore and Zane Memeger in Philadelphia.

The Kochs, guilty beneficiaries of deliberate US CIA Nazi destruction of Union Carbide of India (and intellectual peroperty from myself), have as other US CIA Nazis been de-stabilizing gov’t and other US institutions for decades.

  64. 05/09/2013 12:58 pm

It is completely untrue that the Koch Family is related to Ilse Koch or other Nazis.

Let me be clear about this: I detest the Koch Bros but I’m a historian and I also detest falsehoods passed off as history. Here are the facts: Harry Koch was DUTCH (the first Koch to come to the U.S.; he arrived in 1888). He lived in Dutch enclaves In Chicago and Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he worked for Dutch-language newspapers and the moved to TEXAS.

Harry’s son — FRED — was born in America in 1900 IN TEXAS. Fred is the father of the current Koch Bros and the founder of Koch Industries.

This family is TEXAN, of Dutch descent. Whatever toxic brew shaped the modern Koch Brothers, the sons of Fred Koch, came out of the American soils of the Midwest and Texas and not Nazi Germany.

Now let’s look at the infamous Bitch of Buchenwald, Else Koch: she’s not even a German Koch; she was born Kohler and married German Otto Koch.

I keep seeing these lies surface and circulate and it proves how people can make it up as they go; a simple check with Wiki would provide the truth. The sources used to write this article are also false. Now, as I said, I have NO love for the Koch Bros. There is certainly ENOUGH they have done to justify disliking them so without making up crap.

And anyway, even if the current Koch Bros were German: so what? Since when do tie people to long dead relatives they probably never even met or knew? It’s absurd.

Stick with the facts. Don’t invent them as you go.

    • Liz@NOLA permalink
      05/09/2013 5:21 pm

No one has said that the current Koch brothers came over from Germany. They were born here. As an historian, perhaps you can trace background for the original Koch who came over from Holland. If, in fact, it was Holland. Frequently enough when people immigrate their names, and sometimes their country of origin, can be distorted or just incorrectly noted on their entrance papers. There is a very fine line between Dutch and Deutsch [i.e. German]. Leaving this, try the Koch family originated in Germany where some of them stayed and others migrated to Holland, then on to the U. S. We are in agreement that the Bitch of Buchenwald was the wife of a Koch, the commandant, and therefore born with a different last name. Wikipedia is useful for a quick look up but not for serious research. When this thread started there was one set of info on it re the current Koch brothers and a month later another story told. Their web site altered weekly as well. So, why bother with the Nazi link? The ‘ties that bind’ are not the bloodlines so much as the moral and ethical stance that is passed down from generation to generation. It is up to each generation to accept or reject its lineage. The son of the Koch who moved to Texas was involved in the oil business and traveled to Germany in the 30s when people were deciding to work with, or work against, the rising Nazi power. He did business with the Nazis and was thus barred from working in the oil industry upon his return to the U.S. This is documented. It is also documented that he was a founding member of the John Birch Society which is equivalent to the KKK. When his four sons grew up there was a split in the family with the two we notice today carrying on a successful business while funding extreme ‘right wing’ causes. The other two have laid low. Stretching the ‘ties that bind’ back to the Bitch of Buchenwald provides immediate multiple visceral images of the end results of the Koch brothers’ policies. People think, oh, they are just rich and want to own things. Well, when they own not only the energy company that provides power to one state [the result of an election that ‘privatized’ a state power company that Koch Industries then bought] but ultimately own all of the state power companies, where will the ‘everyday people’ be?? The Kochs also fund the Florida State U. economics department. So, a public university teaches economics according to the ideas of the department head who is designated by the Kochs since that was part of the deal in funding the program. These are not ‘wild accusations’ but previously discussed and documented facts. These are dangerous manifestations of power whether you agree with who is in power or not. These are not manifestations of a free and open economy with transparent development within a democracy. Going back to the original argument, do any of us really want to relive the results of the Jews in Germany who did not take the ‘rumors’ of the Nazi’s intentions seriously and thus remained only to be slaughtered by the millions?? I think not.

are you daft? just because they happened to live in the USA doesn’t mean their origins and allegiances are with the USA. If that were true, there would be no homegrown terrorists. And the convrese is true as well: Just because somebody is from elsewhere doesn’t mean they are against the USA. Both the Bushes and the Kochs have ties to fascists rooted deeply in the past, and whether or not they were directly tied in with German Nazis is only secondary to the fact that they all have fascist agendas. They always have. They aren’t changing their stripes. That’s like saying my mother stopped being English when she moved to the USA, she remained English, as well as Jewish. She was born a Brit and born a Jew, moved to American and became a Hebrew Christian. To suggest that means she ceased to be Jewish or English would be the same thing as you’re claiming about the lineage dating back to Europe with the Koch family. They are used to owning power, and that is a disease that is virtually incurable. POWER is the issue, not the nazis. But their tactics are virtually identical, even if the slaughter they all commit (both the Kochs and the Bushes) seem less obvious compared with the nazi regime’s methods. wake up.

The Koch family is of Dutch ancestry. One has to go back to the great-great-grandfather to find a shipwrecked sailor from East Frisia.

As for the neo-conservatives, connecting them to the John Birch Society, is absurd. They or their parents are former leftists and liberals, who have nothing in common with the reactionary conservatives, apart from the party label. They had no problem with civil rights, although they detested the later counterculture.

The Coid War liberalism of JFK and Scoop Jackson was their natural home, and they defected to the Republican Party during the 1970s, especially during Carter’s presidency. Though I consider a number of the points made in this screed to be of merit I also find a fair amount to be sophmoric rhetorical nonsense.

The author (who did not identify himself/herself)expects me to “honor” and “affirm” this sophistry? Sorry but I have no respect for a polemicist who does not write under his/her own name.

Obviously this individual (if indeed this is not a collective effort) has no sense of history. That fact detracts from the few good points made in this poorly constructed piece. Is this supposed to be Manifesto? A call to arms? Or is this just another example of complacent and muddled thinking?

Firstly, I object to the following statement: “The Tea Party is not radical. The Tea Party is the deadly anger in the populace that has always been there….has always driven Republicans. The strange part is we on the left sometimes believe their hatred is new or frame it in the media as ‘new’.”

The above is fatuous tripe. The Republican Party at its inception was the revolutionary party, the radical party, of the United States. It was the Party of Lincoln, the party of abolitionists and the Party of the emerging industrial civilization. It defeated the dying patriarchy of the antebellum South.

How about this one: “Unless Obama’s move to fire Emmanuel signals a return to a forceful presidency (only implied during the election) then I am done voting or being a US citizen.”

Whine, whine, whine… What a childish and petulant attitude is expressed in the above statement. I’m supposed to respect a person or persons who do not have the strength of their ideals?

“The false writing of universals, projected from within a dominant community out towards another community, is destroying everything that exists in supposed strangeness. The protection of multiplicity and cultural pluralism becomes the spine of the death or life of all cities.”

OMG!! I’m now caught in the jaws of politically correct mumbo jumbo. As with most superficial thinkers who take an important scientific observation (much of human behavior is based on circumstance or knowledge is not “absolute”) that idea is then conflated to the level of denying behaviors and methods of thought which have proven themselves to have significant individual and ethnic group survival qualities. This author may or may not want to admit it but a great deal if not most of the “modern” world and its progressive side exist because of the efforts of a lot of Dead White Male philosophers. A good bit of this may have been brought about by luck and circumstance but the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment originated in Europe. Political correctness does not equal basic human respect. Too often it has been employed as a means of dissembling truth.

Frankly speaking today’s Republican Party has simply been co-opted by that very civilization that it originally defeated but did not completely destroy. The failed memes of the antebellum South live on in today’s Republican Party. Recognize it for what it is and stop with the relativistic nonsense. Defeat it for what it has become.

the author and people like you, and all you liberals here cheering this false and unreferenced slander, you people only damage the cause for progressivism and social justice by perpetuating this sort of bullshit in he name of liberalism.

Report: the Kochs, a Nazi Past…etc. is B.S. Papa Fred Koch was born in Texas, made his fortune selling oil refineries in Stalin’s USSR. Besides the name Koch, there isn’t anything to connect the German and American Kochs.
I got spoofed, and I resent it. The Koch brothers are evil enough in the present day, without digging up imaginary evil ancestors. See Democratic Underground

    • 02/12/2014 4:07 pm

I agree the Kochs are modern nazi-like fascists (“evil enough”). The film connected to this does not mention Nazis. They utilize Stalin as the evil source of Koch wealth… as though Stalin did something bad by stopping the Nazis. As sick as the SOB Stalin was, he was instrumental in defeating the fascists. I hate every hint of “Spoof” as you say. Yet we know that is one of fascist propaganda techniques used by Koch brothers. I often wonder if good guy lying propaganda should be used against evil guy lying propagandists. For the moment I’ll step back and fight the Kochs with truth that I know. That film, by the way seems to be exactly Koch style dung… slapped back in their faces.

This has been my theory for years. The kochs, rove, etc… are all displaced nazi’s who are still upset that america kicked germany’s ass. So now they are trying to destroy america from within through politics and their money and they supreme conservative court just made it easier for them.

As much as I dislike what they are trying to do, their American ancestry starts in 1888 with a poor Dutch immigrant, not a German. This is like trying to attach someone named Ridgeway, Bundy, or Casey to the serial killers. Poorly done. This is just like something FOX News would do and it is BS

Well he does say “the ghost of the first Kochs in the U.S.” :):) You are right that this allegation needs to be substantiated thru credible research. Meanwhile, several points: 1. some Germans during that period left Germany for Holland and other similar places and then migrated to U.S. 2. When entering the U.S. there were also many mix-ups with immigrant names which could include “Dutch” for “Deutsch” [the German word for “German”] 3.There is substantiated background that the “poor immigrant Dutchman” who immigrated to Texas went to work for Standard Oil Company which did business with Nazi Germany. One of that Koch family was on the original board of founders of the John Birch Society, originally a northern group of right-wing extremists. 4. The Koch brother’s father was in oil as well and censored by the U.S. government for doing business with Russia and Germany during the war years. There were originally four brothers. There was a family “break” at which time two of the brothers dropped out of sight leaving the two brothers who are currently active in right-wing politics while their company absorbs various state-wide industrial services [electricity for Wisconsin for instance] while they endow chairs at various universities which include naming the professors who receive the chairmanships [political and financial instruction]. This IS all documented.

Here are my notes on the founding of the John Birch Society…

    “… Dr. Dennis Cuddy said

“…Nelson Rockefeller was working with the NAZIs

David Rockefeller was working with the Communists.”

That certainly was interesting to me because of what I read in a booklet that I obtained in electronic pdf form from the University of Texas library.
The name of the book is

    John Birch Society

An expose of one of the foremost anti-Communists organizations

    James E. Braddock, Esq

Page 8 of this booklet stated that Nelson Rockefeller paid three times the asking price for Welch’s candy company on the condition that Mr. Welch would head the JBS. The booklet further states that the whole JBS beginnings were part of a dialectical plan and had goals similar to those of Freemasonry. ”

Well, if we get Hillary Clinton or any of the other Right-wing candidates, we are guaranteed to become a Totalitarian state. We are a Banana Republic as it is. We need true Progressives (like Dennis Kucinich or the Green Party) to get us out of the weeds. It is a never ending horror and appall to me how many people are willing to sell their country out for the promise (but not necessarily the actuality) of vast personal wealth or total control over others. There is something in Right-wingers (and DINO’s) that need to hurt their fellow human beings and I just don’t know what that is; sociopath?

  89. 10/20/2014 1:11 pm

I don’t defend criminals, but it would be good to highlight that all the witnesses who accused Ilse Koch said has not been proven, so that General Lucius D. Clay asked that his sentence be reduced to four years. And tests later proved that the lamps were made of goatskin, and not human.

The Koch brothers are libertarians. Find better propaganda. Children are not responsible for their parents and certainly do not share their beliefs. There’s just one problem, Bulan …we’re not talking about “… Arrow Cross member George Soros and the best year of his life, stealing from actual Jews and sending them to their deaths…” are we?

I think the topic for discussion is how llse Koch, her husband Karl Otto Koch and Erich Koch are the ghosts of Koch Industries,… seized the U.S. conservative political agenda through the Tea Party. Someone is pointing out that Ilse Koch was the Nazi’s specialist in making objects from human skin.

These are facts and no matter what George Soros, or anyone else did, or did not do, does not change the facts about the Koch family. Just that simple.

      • 04/30/2015 12:47 am

I gave you facts, you gave lies. There isn’t a shred of evidence that Karl-Otto Koch was related to Harry Koch or that Koch Industries got anything from them.

Also, if it had not been for the pile of money the family made (Fred C Koch) working for the Bolsheviks in the late 1920s and early 1930s, building refineries, training Communist engineers and laying down the foundation of Soviet oil infrastructure, the Kochs would be nothing today. Maybe we should now call them “Comrad Kochs”!

Fascinating, and of course complete and utter nonsense. The Koch brothers are descendants of Harry Koch, who emigrated to the US from Holland in 1888!

If you read both of my brand new books, AMERICAS FIRST FAMILY OF ADOPTIONS PIVAS PORTANT PEOPLE AND RICKYS WITS OF WITTICISM A PRIMER ON UNCONDITIONAL LOVE- on Kindle and AMAZON-you can see from history I was also ((((TORTURED ))) NOT as a prisoner of war but as a tiny BABY—– What on God’s green earth would make anyone want to Experiment on tiniest most vulnerable of babies unless it was for one thing ****MONEY!** The Roman Catholic Church and my own federal Government the CIA– made 6 billion dollars off of one orphanage where I was born in Montreal Canada called the SECOND AUSCHWIUTZ. Does anyone believe that this was for anything insane and psychotic killers who were the actual nuns and Roman Catholic Priests who ran the orphanage?

They did in fact hire Dr. Josef Mengele the ANGEL OF DEATH from Auschwitz where my brother was born. This meant the (((TORTURE)))) we endured as “””babies””” was part of the MK Ultra program that was begun right there in that very orphanage where I was born and it meant they had to perfect ways to use heavy drugs to make sure they became the foremost “””EXPERTS”” on ***MIND CONTROL AND THAT MY DEAR SHEEPLE WAS DONE BY THE *****CIA***** MY OWN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF THE U S A.!***

We were each injected daily with heavy drugs as their so called LIVE HUMAN LAB RATS–not for fun but to see how we all reacted to these oh so heavy drugs which left me with muscle spasms daily and then convulsions which I had to get used to in a heinous and hideous way daily…, Do you want to see what these drugs do to you? How would you like to have electro shock treatments done to you daily? Would you be able to survive having your testicles cut of with a butcher knife with no anesthetics??? I wish everyone could read these two new books to truly find the right course which we all must make and that is not to instill HATE on each other now.

I have been exposed within the first few years of my life to ((((TORTURE))) and hideous deaths horrific too graphic to go into here- AND THE LIKES OF WHICH MOST HUMANKIND WILL NEVER SEE AND HAVE NEVER FELT IN OVER 100 YEARS OF LIFE. But I will state unequivocally after all the shear total ((((TORTURE)))) both my brother and I each experienced in our very own AUSCHWITZ of the HOLOCAUST- THAT even after that horrendous experience in Auschwitz, he still had to spend three tours in Vietnam long after he was extricated from Auschwitz and he still today as well as I have lingering problems from both Auschwitz and of course from the war in Vietnam.

And we both still to this day have had the courage to try to totally “””FORGIVE”””” all of those who ((((TORTURED))) US EACH. Mind you that takes a bigger man to truly totally deep inside your heart FORGIVE them all ! I have had to swallow my pride many times in this life and yes I have turned the other cheek so many times now I have to turn the so called ahem bottom cheeks the rear end haha since the cheeks on top are so raw yes raw…… But I still tout nothing but ******UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!*** and yes that is for my so called ‘””enemies””” as well.

I hope we can all find true peace in our hearts and finally forgive those who wronged us and I hope for a better life for all humankind amen…

First-I started to read; so that I could be informed-and well over and over, you state that there really wasn’t evidence-then you go on trying to create evidence! Isn’t it true that rather than pointing, and saying it looks like such, and such-simply state what has came out of the mouth of the Koch-which truly they have damned them selves. Don’t make guilt out of no more than the absolute-it will lend to more credibility. I have heard the Koch state things that are self incriminating-we need go no further.
